In her presentation titled “Turning to experts. The role of medicine and other human sciences,” Kateřina focused on the intersections between expertise and governance in modern socialist states. Contrasting the examples of people who had a problem with people who were seen as problematic, she discussed differences in alignment between various kinds of human science expertise and also different levels of alignment with the state.
